Hamilton Khaki field King with NATO BOND straps from Sangin Instruments and a custom leather strap from @chesapeakebayleathercraft
A lieutenant with the Puerto Rico Police Department and director of the Metro Bomb Squad, photographed across three separate calls this past January, each one a hand grenade found in a residential neighborhood. On his wrist is a Hamilton Khaki Field King, an automatic field watch on straps from Sangin Instruments and a custom leather band. The Khaki Field is Hamilton's direct descendant of the watches it made for American soldiers through the twentieth century, legible and unfussy by design. Steady hands and a clear dial, in a job where both matter more than most. If you have a wrist shot from somewhere that matters, submit at the link in bio. Tempus Est Potentia.

Hamilton Khaki Field King
The Khaki Field is Hamilton's clearest link to its military past. The brand supplied field watches to U.S. forces through the world wars and Vietnam, and the modern line keeps the same priorities: a high-contrast dial, 24-hour inner numerals, and no clutter. The King adds a day-and-date complication on an automatic movement from the ETA and Powermatic family, with a long power reserve. Here it wears a NATO strap from Sangin Instruments and a custom leather band from a small maker, a working watch built up by its owner.
Metro Bomb Squad, Puerto Rico Police
The submitter is a lieutenant with the Puerto Rico Police Department and the director of the Metro Bomb Squad. The three photos were taken on three different calls this January, each a response to hand grenades discovered in residential areas. Render-safe work is deliberate and unforgiving, measured in careful minutes, and a plain, legible field watch is fitting company for it.
