The Fifty Fathoms is the watch that started the modern dive watch. Blancpain built it in 1953 for the Nageurs de Combat, France's combat swimmers, with a locking bezel and water resistance to the depth that gave it its name. The Bathyscaphe is the everyday form of that legend, here in steel with a black dial.
