Seiko SNM037
A firefighter and paramedic in a Des Moines suburb. "I bought the watch during paramedic school as a motivator when class was getting rough. Now as a medic, it's been on my wrist through all the experiences I've had where I've learned the 'how we really do it' of EMS in the field." On the wrist, a Seiko SNM037. Seiko SNM037
Collectors call the SNM037 the orange Land Monster. It takes the Monster diver's big applied markers and broad hands and adds a compass: a second crown turns an inner ring marked with the compass points, while the outer bezel keeps its dive timing scale.
Underneath it is a proper dive watch. The case is 43mm of stainless steel and about 16mm thick, rated to 200 meters, under a Hardlex crystal. Inside is Seiko's 7S35 automatic, beating at 21,600 vibrations per hour with a power reserve of about 41 hours.
