Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M
A Coast Guardsman at the Leadership Development Center in New London, Connecticut, the wall of unit seals behind the wrist and an Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M on it, grey dial, rubber strap. His reason for the week, in his own words: leadership isn't inherited, it's learned, and the LDC provides the education needed to lead the next generation of Coast Guardsmen. This week is renewing my drive to continue the challenge. Who taught you how to lead? If you have a wrist shot from somewhere that matters, submit at the link in bio. Tempus Est Potentia.

Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M
The Planet Ocean is the Seamaster's serious sibling, launched in 2005 to reclaim the deep-diver ground Omega had held in the Ploprof era: 600 meters of rating, a helium valve, and proportions that make no apology for it. The current generation carries Omega's Master Chronometer certification, which is the stricter of the industry's two big standards because METAS tests the cased watch, not the bare movement, including resistance to magnetic fields of 15,000 gauss, a level that makes the antimagnetic watch problem simply disappear.
Everything about the reference is surplus capability, and that is an honest match for the week this one is spending in New London. Nobody at a leadership course needs 600 meters of water resistance. The logic of both is identical anyway: build the margin before the day that requires it, because on that day it cannot be added.
